'Cause I found out there's no such thing as a miracle

(Nicole's Pov)

I couldn't believe she was here and she looked exactly like Alex.  Her hair was the same as Alex's and she had his clothes on.  I couldn't believe I fell for it.  I didn't know what she wanted but I was going to find out.

"What are you doing here Lisa?"  I demanded.

I was not in the mood for her games and whatever she had plan was not going to work.

"You and Alex belong together."  She said

"Incase you haven't notice he cheated on me."  I said angrily.

"It was just one kiss and he never meant to kiss her back.  He still loves you and he is still soaking over you.  He misses you and you miss him.  I know you still love him so you two need to get back together and I kidnapped Lexi so he could come and get her.  When he sees you.."  She trailed off.

"He's not going to see me. I'll call Alex and let him know I have her then I will give her to Pete.  By the time Alex gets here I will be long gone."  I said

She laughed.

"You not going anywhere and you're going to call Alex right now."  She said pulling out a gun.

"You wouldn't."  I said

"Try me."

She handed me her phone and it was already dialing Alex's number.

"Lisa,you bring Lexi right back or I have you lock up."  He said angrily.

I felt the tears coming to my eyes and I wiped them away.  I held Lexi tighter against me so Lisa wouldn't hurt her.

"Alex."  I breath out.

I heard him take in a shakily breath and let it out.

"Nicole."

"Is Lexi alright and are you alright?" He asked in a rush.

"Yea we're fine."

"Where are you?  I'll come and get you and Lexi."

The letter was true.  He still cared about me.  I knew the last note Lisa handed me was his cause I recognized his handwriting anywhere and the first note I guess she wrote.

"California.  Pete's house."

Lisa snatched the phone from me and started talking to Alex.  She was threatening him by telling him that she was going to kill me and Lexi.  I was glad she didn't tell him about the babies.  Although I don't think she knew I was carrying twins but I knew she saw my huge stomach. 

"Oh and one more thing Alex."  She said smiling at me.

"Nicole is beautiful pregnant."  She said then hung up the phone.

I was mad.  Alex wasn't supposed to know and I didn't want him to know.  I was supposed to tell him not her. 

"He's coming for you and Lexi."  Lisa said

I looked around and everyone was frozen in their spots.  It was like they couldn't move and was glued to the floor.

(Alex's Pov)

I packed my bag as fast as I could.  I zipped my bag up and ran down the stairs. I grabbed my keys and ran out the door.  I ran to my car and got in.  I threw the bag in the passenger seat and buckled up.  I started the car and backed out of the drive way.  I sped down the street and was hoping Lisa wouldn't do anything to Lexi or Nicole.  I could hardly think straight and the only thing I was worry about was Lexi and Nicole. I pulled up at the airport and shut the car off.  I unbuckled myself and grabbed my bag.  I got out the car and ran inside.  I got a ticket to California and went through security.  I went to the terminal and waited for my flight to be call.  They called my flight and I stood up.  I ran over to the attendant and handed her my ticket.  I boarded the plane and put my bag in the overhead compartment.  I sat down in my seat and buckled up.  A few hours later and the plane landed in California.  I unbuckled myself and got up.  I grabbed my bag and got off the plane.  I waved down a cab and got in.  I told the driver where to go and he got there in about 23 minutes.  I paid him and got out of the cab.  I ran inside dropping my bag on the floor by the door.  I ran into the living room to see everyone was sitting on the floor with scare looks on their faces.  I looked around the room and I spotted Nicole on the couch holding Lexi closely to her.  I saw Lisa sitting next to her holding the gun right at Nicole.  Nicole had tears going down her face and Lexi was holding Nicole tightly by her shirt.  I could tell they were scare and so was I but I wasn't going to let Lisa see me scare.  Lisa looked around and she saw me.

"Hello Alex."

"Let them go.  Matter of fact let them all go."  I said through gritted teeth.

She laughed.

"Oh Alex,I was just telling Nicole how much you love her and that you never meant to kiss that girl."

I wonder how Lisa knew that?  I didn't tell her and I am sure Nicole didn't tell her.

"How do you know?!"  I yelled.

She smirked.

"I know everything Alex."

"I'm going to tell you one more time and this is the last time.  Let them all go!"

"Where's the fun in that? Besides I want to help get you and Nicole back together."

"I can fix it myself."  I told her.

"Oh really?  Nicole stand up."

"Why?"  Nicole asked her.

"Just do it."

Nicole slowly got up and put Lexi on her hip.  I looked at her and her belly was huge.

"She's pregnant Alex and it's yours."  Lisa said

I looked back at Lisa and she was smirking.  I looked at Nicole and she was shaking badly.  She was so scared that she could barely stand.  Nicole tapped Lexi on the shoulder and pointed at me.

"Daddy!"  Lexi said

"Come over here."  Lisa told me.

I slowly walked over to Nicole and Lexi held her hands out.  I grabbed Nicole by the arms and gently sat her down on the couch.  I sat down next to her and took Lexi from her.  Lexi clunged to me and I rubbed her back.  I kissed the top of her head and I was so glad I got her back.  I looked at Nicole and she was staring at me.

"Tell him Nicole.  Tell him the baby is his."  Lisa said

I grabbed Nicole's hand and gently squeezed it.

"Is the baby really mine?"  I asked

She nodded. 

"Yea.  THEIR yours."  Nicole said emphasizing the word their.

We were having more then one baby.  There were so many things running through my head that I could barely think straight.  I was going to be a daddy again and I was excited.  I was finally going to have kids with Nicole. My thoughts were interrupted with the front door being slammed opened.  Me and Nicole looked towards the door and a guy with brown hair walked in.

"Martin,what are you doing here?"  Nicole asked surprised.

He ran over to her and she let go of my hand.  He kissed her and pulled away.

"Are you alright?"  He asked

She nodded.

"Fine.  Answer my question,what are you doing here?"

"I tried calling you but you didn't answer and I wanted to surprise you."

"I'm glad you came."

"Who's this?"  Lisa asked pointing to Martin.

Nicole looked at her and smirked.

"My boyfriend Martin."  Nicole said

She had a boyfriend now and there was probably no hope of us getting together.  I wasn't expecting us to get back together so soon but I thought we could fix our relationship and go back to the way things were before I screwed up.
