'Cause I found out there's no such thing as a miracle

(Pete's Pov)

I pulled up in front of Nicole's apartment complex and got out of the car.  I walked inside and went to the elevator.  I pushed the up button and the elevator opened.  I stepped inside and pushed the 3 button.  Nicole was going to be surprise when she finds out that me and Ashlee planned a baby shower for her.  The elevator opened and I stepped out.  I walked down the hall and got to Nicole's apartment.  I knocked on the door and waited for her to answer.  I waited and she never came to the door.  I knew she walked slow but this was ridiculous.  I knocked on the door again and heard someone coming.  The door opened and Bronx was standing there.

"Daddy!"  He said

I picked him up and kissed his forehead.

"Where's Auntie Nicole?"  I asked

I walked in and shut the door behind me. He started laughing.

"What's so funny?"  I asked

"She's struck daddy."  He said in between laughs.

I laughed.

"Where Bronx?"

"Bathroom."

I put him down and he ran into the bathroom.  I followed him and sure enough Nicole was sitting on the floor.  I started laughing.

"Shut up Pete and help me up."  She said frustrated.

I held my hands out and she put both of her hands in mine.  I pulled her up and she sighed.

"Thanks Pete."  She said

"How did you get struck?"

"Your son got in my make up and mess up the bathroom.  I had to clean the make up off of him then I clean the bathroom.  I knew I shouldn't have gotten on the floor but my make up was on the floor.  I had to pick it up and when I got down there I realized when I finished that I couldn't get up."

I laughed again.  She glared at me.

"Come on let's go."  I said

She gave me a confuse look and I sighed.

"Just come on."

We walked out of the bathroom and I picked Bronx up.  Nicole grabbed her purse and we walked out of her apartment.  We stepped inside the elevator and I press the button for the lobby.  The door opened and we walked out.  We walked out of the building and walked over to my car.  I opened the door and put Bronx in his carseat.  I buckled him in and shut the door.  I opened the door and I got in.  I buckled up and started the car.  I pulled out of the parking space and started driving down the road.

"Where are we going?"  Nicole asked

I smiled.

"You'll see."   I said

She sighed.  I chuckled and kept on driving.  I pulled up in front of my house and shut the car off.  I unbuckled myself and got out of the car.  I opened the back door and got Bronx out of his carseat. I placed him on my hip and shut the car door.  I walked over to Nicole's side and helped her out of the car.  She shut the door and we walked onto the porch.  I opened the door and we walked in. I put Bronx down and he ran off.  Nicole shut the door and we walked further into the house.  Nicole gasped as we walked into the living room.  There were green and blue streamers hanging everywhere.  Balloons that said it's twin boys were floating around the house.  I looked at Nicole and she had tears in her eyes.

"Don't cry."  I said chuckling.

She looked at me.

"I can't help it."

I laughed.  I grabbed her hand and led her over to the couch.

"Surprise!!!!"  Everyone yelled as they came out of their hiding spots.

"You guys." Nicole gushed.

"Everyone let's get started."  Ashlee said

The shower started and the games begin.  I'm glad me and Ashlee planned a co-ed baby shower for Nicole.  She deserves it and to have some fun.  After the games we started opening presents.  I walked upstairs and went into the bedroom.  I walked over to the closet and grabbed the two presents that my mom sent over for Nicole.  I walked out of the room and went downstairs.  Nicole was unwrapping a present from Kara and she awed over the little dinosaur outfit.  I walked over to Nicole and handed her the two boxes.

"Here these are from my mom."  I told her.

She took them and smiled. 

"What are they?"  She asked

"I have no idea and I wouldn't tell you if I knew what they was."  I said

She laughed and opened one of the boxes.  I had no idea what they was but my mom called me and asked me what she was naming the babies.  I told her and she hung up before I could ask what she was getting her.  My mom like Nicole alot and Nicole like my mom. 

(Nicole's Pov)

I took the tissue paper out of the box and finally got to the actual gift.  I pulled it out and it was a quilt.  It was blue and white and it had different patches on it.  Some patches had circus animals on it and the other patches were white or blue.  I looked at and saw it had Derek stitched in the corner of it.  It was beautiful and I felt the tears in the corner of my eyes.  I wiped them away and opened the other gift from Pete's mom.  I opened the box and there was a green quilt.  It looked exactly like the blue one but this had Daniel stitched on it.  It was in the corner too and it was beautiful. I knew I was going to have to call his mom and thanked her for the quilts.  After I opened up all the presents we had cake.  After cake we all started talking to one another.

(Lisa's Pov)

I pulled up in front of Pete's house and got out of the car.  I opened the back door and got a crying Lexi out of the carseat.  I shut the car and walked up to the house.  I kidnapped Lexi so Alex and Nicole could get back together and live happily ever after.  I just hoped my plan works.

"Do you want to see mommy?"  I asked Lexi.

She shut up and looked at me.  I smiled and showed her the picture of Nicole.  She smiled at me and nodded her little head.  I put the picture in my pocket and knocked on the front door.  The front door opened and Brendon from Panic at the Disco opened the door.

"Hey Lexi and Alex."  He said

I smiled and nodded.  I was dressed up like Alex so no one would recognized me and my hair was cut just as short as Alex's.  Brendon moved aside and let me in.  I walked into the living room and Nicole was sitting on the couch talking with her friends. 

"There's your mommy."  I said quietly to Lexi.

She nodded.  I put her down.

"Go to her."

I knew that Alex and Nicole got into it but I knew they were made for each other.  Lexi liked Nicole and I knew I couldn't pick a better mom for Lexi then her.

"Mommy!"  Lexi squealed

She ran as best as she could and hugged Nicole's leg.  It was then I noticed Nicole huge belly and judging how big she was she didn't have long left until the baby was born.  That baby had to belong to Alex.  I didn't know she was pregnant but I was happy anyways.  Nicole lifted Lexi up and put her on her lap.  Lexi hugged her and Nicole looked at her.  Nicole looked around and she saw me.  Her mouth dropped and her eyes went wide in shock.  I walked over to her with a smile on my face.

"Alex,what are you doing here and how did you find me?"  She asked shock.

I smiled.  I couldn't talk just yet.  Everyone would know it was me instead of Alex if I talked.  I took the piece of paper out of my pocket and handed it to her.  It basically said I lost my voice and couldn't speak.  I put on there that I found her by following Pete.  I told her to go back to Maryland and that we could work everything out when we got there.  I watched as she read it and tears sprang to her eyes.  I handed her another piece of paper but this note was different.  Alex actually wrote this one and I am guessing her wrote it after she left him.  He told her that he was sorry that he kiss that girl and didn't want her to leave.  He also put on there that he missed her and that Lexi did too.  He also said that he couldn't eat,sleep without her being there.  I thought that was cute.  He also said he didn't chase after her because Lexi was crying and wanted him.  Nicole looked back up at me and her face change.  Damn I thought she knew who I was now.
