'Cause I found out there's no such thing as a miracle

(Pete's Pov)

I was sitting in the front lounge with Patrick.

"Did you ask her yet?"  He asked

"No.  I would have but that clumsy waiter spilled our food on her."  I told him.

"Yea that would ruin it."  He said

I nodded.  I sighed and try to think of a place where I could propose to her.  I wanted a place where no one could interrupted us.  I couldn't come up with a single thing.

"Patrick help me figure out a place where I could propose to her."

He sighed and laid his head back against the couch.  He shut his eyes and started thinking.  All of a sudden his sat up and opened his eyes.

"How about you wait until after the tour.  You could surprise her by showing up at the hospital in a kangaroo costume.  You have to make her think that there is another tour right after this one though."

I thought about it and it was a good idea.  I could have flowers and candy in the pouch of the costume then I could give them to her.  I could propose right after.

"Good idea."  I said

He nodded and got up.

"I'm going to check out other bands." 

I nodded.  He walked off the bus.  I heard the back lounge door opened and I looked at the clock it was 11:00 in the morning.  I saw Sue walk into the bathroom and shut the door behind her.  I heard the shower running and I knew she was taking a shower.  I waited for her to get out so we could walk around.  She came out and took her clothes into the back lounge.  She came back in here.

"Ready?"  She asked me.

I nodded.

"Feeling better?"  I asked

"Yes."

I nodded.  We walked off the bus and started walking around.  We were in California and it was hot. 

"What band are we checking out?"  Sue asked

"I don't know.  How about The Cab?"

She nodded.  We walked over to the stage that The Cab was playing at.  We walked up the stairs and watched from the side of the stage.  The Cab was playing Take my Hand when Cassadee from Hey Monday came on stage and started singing with Alex Deleon.  Sue was singing along and bobbling her head to the beat.  I watched as she danced to the music.  She was having fun and that is what I wanted.  She works too hard and needed some fun.  I turned back and watched the band.  They finished and Cobra Starship came on.  They started with Paparazzi and Gabe started dancing around acting like an idiot.  When they finished Gabe came over to me.

"Hello Petey."  He said

"Hello Gabe."

He looked over at Sue.

"Who is the babe?" 

I put my arm around her.

"This is Sue my girlfriend."  I said

He looked from me to her.

"If you ever get tired of him just let me know."  He said winking at her.

"Excuse me?"  She asked him shocked.

Uh oh.  I thought.  He was going to get it now.  I looked at Gabe and he had a look of shock and fear on his face.  I was going to laugh but I decide against it.  He was taller then her at lest by 1 foot.

"Nothing."  He said

I looked at Sue who was pale.  She put her hand over her mouth and ran off the side of the stage.  I ran after her and she was puking in the trash can that was by the stage.  I pulled her hair back so she wouldn't get sick on it.  I held her hair and rubbed her back while she vomit. 

(Sue's Pov)

I finished throwing up and I wiped my mouth off with a tissue that I got out of my pocket.  I got a mint out of my purse and ate it. 

"Are you okay?"  Pete asked

"Yea.  I am just hot and hungry."

He nodded.

"Let's get some lunch then."  He said

I nodded.  He grabbed my hand and we walked to the car.  We got in and he drove.

"Where do you want to go?"  He asked me.

"Um...How about Taco Bell?"

He looked at me with his eyebrows raised.

"Are you sure?"

"Yes.  I want some burritos."  I said

"Okay."  He said unsurely.

We pulled into Taco Bell and got out of the car.  We walk inside and the air conditioning instantly cooled me off.  We got in line and waited.  We finally got to the cashier and Pete ordered for us.  I took my cup and walked over to the soda machine.  I filled my cup up with ice then put lemonade in it.  I got a lid then put it on my cup.  I got a straw and opened it.  I put the straw through the hole and went to find a table.  I sat down at the table and took a sip of my drink.  I heard the ice machine going off and turned around to see Pete trying to stop the ice from coming out.  The ice machine was chucking out ice like a gun shooting bullets.  I laughed and watched him get hit by the flying ice.  He turned and looked at me.  He wasn't watching and got hit in the eye with an ice cube.  He covered his eye and I got up.  I ran over to him and pulled him away from the crazy ice machine.  I sat him down at our table.

"Let me see."

He shook his head no.

"Come on you big baby.  Let me see it now."  I said getting frustrated.

He uncovered his eye and it was already turning purple.  I grabbed a couple of napkins and ran over to the ice machine.  I put some ice in the napkins and ran back over to Pete. 

"Here put this on your eye."  I said handing him the napkins.

He put it on his left eye and I went to get our food.  I got it and sat down at the table.  I started eating.  I looked up to see Pete staring at me.

"What?"

"Nothing."  He said then starting eating.

After we ate we got in the car.  I drove us back to the bus since Pete was still holding the ice against his eye.  I pulled up and we got out.  We walked onto the bus to see everyone sitting on the couch.

"What happen to you.  Did you get into a fight or did Sue give you the right hook?"  Gabe asked him.

"No.  He got into a fight with the ice machine at Taco Bell."  I said laughing.

Everyone started laughing.  Pete glared at me.

"Oh come on.  You know it's funny." 

He didn't laugh and walked into the back lounge.

"Looks like you made someone mad."  Joe said

"Shut up Joe."  I snapped.

I walked into the back lounge and saw Pete laying on the bed with a ice pack on his eye.  I put my purse on the table and got into the bed.  I took the ice pack off his face.

"Hey,put that back." 

"No.  Tell me what your problem is."  I said softly.

"Nothing."  He said then took the ice pack from me.

"Doesn't sound like nothing."  I pushed.

He was acting weird all week and I wonder what he was up to?  He sighed.

"I'm just tired."  Is all he said and turned around so his back was facing me.

I sighed.  He would tell me what is bothering him when he is ready.

"I'm taking a nap too."  I muttered.

I turned so my back was facing his back and fell asleep.
